XV. Workshop on Global Optimization

Regarding the present and probable future COVID-19 pandemy situation, in accordance with the collected opinion of the respective Scientific Committees and some interested future participant suggestions, the organization committee of the HUGO conference decided to postpone the meeting to 2022. The exact dates are not decided yet. All deadlines are reset accordingly. We hope the interested future participants understand this decision, and that we shall be able to have a nice conference in 2022.

In contrast, SCAN conference will be organized online at the beginning of September 2021.

This workshop organized by the University of Szeged offers a traditional forum  for researchers and practitioners to discuss new issues, challenging problems,  advanced solutions and new trends in global optimization. Since 1985, a tradition of Global Optimization Workshops exists that senior researchers and  PhD students meet in a single-stream session environment to discuss approaches, algorithms and challenging applications in the field of global optimization.

You will also have the opportunity to visit Szeged, a city with a rich history and an internationally acclaimed university. We had a Nobel Prize awarded rector, Albert Szent-Györgyi. The University of Szeged is one of the best Hungarian universities. Some years ago it belonged to the best 100 European and the best 500 universities in the world according to the Shanghai ranking.

The basic early registration fee will be 300 Euro, that contains the volume of abstracts, the room rentals, coffee breaks, lunches, a few suppers, and some social programs as well.
