  • Communication Management – to collect, distribute, store and retrieve information; takes a significant time of the project.

Main asset: Communication Management plan with stakeholders, channels, reporting processes defined.

    • Activities

      • Identify Stakeholders – analysis of people and organizations influencing the project. Collecting information on the level of involvement and impact by the means of stakeholder analysis.

      • Plan Communications – defining the communication approach and the information to be communicated to stakeholders.

      • Distribute Information – making relevant information available for stakeholders, conferring to the plan.

      • Manage Stakeholders Expectations – communicating with stakeholders to meet their needs by addressing issues as they occur.

      • Report Performance – collecting and distributing performance information by distributing progress measurements and forecasts in status reports.

  • Risk Management – to conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning and monitoring on the project. To increase the probability of positive events and decrease the probability of negative ones on the project.

    Main Assets: Risk Management Plan and Risk Register

    • Activities

      • Plan risk management – defining the process on how to process risks

      • Identify risks – determine and log risks influencing different project areas

      • Perform qualitative risk analysis – prioritizing risks combining their probability of occurence and impact

      • Perform quantitative risk analysis – numerically analyzing the effect of each risks on overall project objectives

      • Plan risk responses – defining options and actions on how to deal with risks to reduce their effect

      • Monitor and control risks – to implement a risk response plan, tracking and monitoring of identified risks, evaluate new risks and enhance risk response effectiveness by process reassessment.

  • HR Management – processes that organize, manage and lead the project team; from picking team members to motivating them.

    Main Asset: Human Resource plan, that contains the project roles & responsibilities, skills and reporting relationships and the staffing management plan.

    • Activities

      • Acquire Project Team – confirming human resource availability, obtaining the team members with the necessary skill-set

      • Develop Project Team –improving competencies, supporting team interaction to enhance project performance

      • Manage Project Team –tracking individual and team performance, providing feedbacks, resolving issues, introducing changes to optimize project performance

  • Procurement Management – the processes to acquire products and services needed from third parties to deliver the project.

    Main Assets: Procurement Management Plan

    • Activities

      • Plan Procurement – specifying the approach, identifying third parties to get the products and services from, documenting purchasing decision processes

      • Conduct Procurement – obtaining third party responses, selecting vendors, creating the contracts for procurement

      • Administer Procurement – managing procurement relationships, monitoring contract performance, making changes in the procurement stakeholder list and processes to get it more effective

      • Close Procurement – completing procurements by auditing
