New!
-
The first round of the refereeing procedure is closed,
the authors of the manuscripts submitted for publication in
the proceedings of SCAN-98 are informed about the status of
their manuscript. 45 manuscripts were obtained, and we have
received 91 reviews. Now we have 30 accepted papers with
minor revisions requested, 4 papers need a major revision
before a possible publication, 9 manuscripts were rejected,
and further 2 are withdrawn. For the papers for which a
major revision is required only a yes/no answer will be
asked from the referees to speed up the publication. The
authors were asked to return the corrected papers within
one month. The late corrected manuscripts will be forwarded
for further processing to a regular issue of Reliable
Computing.
-
The organizers of the conference are indebted for the
help of the referees who have substantially contributed to

conference

To obtain well written papers containing significant and
important results, the way of publication of the papers
arising from the talks of SCAN-98 has been changed:
1. The deadline of submission has been changed to
October 31, 1998.
Beyond this date, the manuscripts will be forwarded to a
normal issue of Reliable Computing (with the consent of the
authors).
2. The preferred form is in Latex, following the style
of Reliable Computing (see below), and the electronic
submission to scan98@inf.u-szeged.hu. All electronic
submissions will be confirmed. If it is impossible, you can
also send your manuscript by snail-mail to SCAN-98, c/o
Tibor Csendes, H-6701 Szeged, Pf. 652, Hungary.
3. No direct page limit is set, still please follow the
usual size of a paper in Reliable Computing (10-15
pages).
4. The most possible form of the publication is a
special issue of Reliable Computing and an edited volume of
fully refereed papers published by Kluwer Academic
Publishers. The latter will also contain those papers
appeared in the special issue. We expect that both will
appear within one year.
