The DEN4DEK kick-off meeting was held on 26-27th June 2008 in Barcelona. The project is funded under the CIP-ICT-PSP-2007 program of the European Union.

The aim of the DEN4DEK Thematic Network is to establish a Europe-wide network to develop interregional networking, an effective knowledge sharing and innovative actions that facilitate the uptake of the Digital Business Ecosystems (DE) approach at the European level. The project will provide an effective mechanism to facilitate information sharing and the exchange of good practices and strategies between network participants in order to provide a novel framework for sustainable economic development in the European regions through the improvement of SMEs ICT uptake, market access and economic performance by adopting the Digital Business Ecosystem approach.
