Mr. Vilmos Bilicki(M)

 

Mr. Vilmos Bilicki made a Master's Degree as Electrical Engineer from the Technical University of Budapest in 1999. He is working as assistant lecturer at the University of Szeged Institute of Informatics Department of Software Engineering from 2001. Mr. Bilicki has the following key qualifications:

  • Cisco Certified Academy Instructor
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (in progress)

Mr. Bilicki is interested in the following research areas:

  • P2P Ad-hoc self-organizing wireless communication networks.
  • Maintaining the consistence in  distributed systems.
  • IPv6 multicast based technologies
  • Network testing

Mr. Bilicki has the following key experiences:

  • Participant and technical leader of the C@R project (EU financed project)at the University of Szeged:
    • A P2P Ad-Hoc Wireless infrastructure for rural areas
    • A produce exchange application
  • Participant in 6Net project (EU financed project)
  • Project leader of the Camp6 project at the University of Szeged (the project is financed by EU and Hungry as well)
    • Monitoring and testing an IPv6 multicast network (ASM, SFM, SSM)
    • Design and implementation of a campus wide multicast network: how-to, study, best practices
    • Testing and debugging the Linux IPv6 multicast router functionality
    • Designing and implementing an SSM capable video conferencing application
  • Project leader of the SIP compression project (the project was financed by Nokia Hungary)
    • Studying and designing appropriate static and dynamic compression methods for SIP compression
  • Project leader of the UDVM  implementation project (the project was financed by Nokia Hungary)
  • Project leader of the L2Discover project (the project was financed by the KFKI)
    • Discovering the Layer2 topology of a network (SNMP, RSTP, CAM)
  • Project leader of the LanStore project
    • A distributed storage facility for utilizing the storage capacity of the workstation
    • A framework for handling the consistency issues in a native multicast or a peer-to-peer network
