The conference will be held in the building of the Szeged Branch of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (SZAB, Szegedi Akadémiai Bizottság). It is to be found at Somogyi u. 7., behind the Dome of Szeged, on the Dóm square. It can be reached from the train station via tram No. 1 (the only tram serving the station). The tram departs in front of the station and the fourth stop is the Somogyi street.
Tram tickets can be purchased in kiosks (there is one in front of the train station) or can be bought from the driver. The price of a ticket is 95 HUF (it costs more if you buy it from the driver). For each journey (regardless how long) one ticket has to be validated (clipped) using a small device mounted on the handrails of the tram.
There is also a taxi station right before the railway station. The whole distance from the station to the Aradi tér is about 500 meters. The average price for that trip is about 500 - 600 HUF (Volán-Taxi or Rádio-Taxi). Ask for the price before you enter the cab. Some private taxi drivers may ask for much more - be cautious.
The lectures will be held in the two lecture halls at the first floor.
If you come by car, find first the inner ring (Tisza Lajos körút, we have alltogether tree rings), and drive South-bound. It makes also sense to follow the tram line No. 1. We have a prepaid ticket parking system: in the downtown you must have a prepaid munched ticket under your windscrean (ca. 500 HUF per day, without a ticket it may cost several thousends Forints).
