Description:

A joint project is in process between the University of Szeged Image Processing Group and Department of Optics and Quantum Electronics and GE Medical Systems (GEMS) Budapest, to study the problems connected with CT image corrections. The CT corrections project is expected to provide a comprehensive review of the literature on the topic to GE Medical Systems. The purpose of this project is to collect and critically review the relevant publications, patents and other data concerning beam hardening and metallic artifacts with special emphasis on comparing the methods proposed to eliminate those artifacts.
