Research

Current research activities of the Group focus on four fields of application: natural language processing, speech technology, bioinformatics and self-organizing systems. These interdisciplinary fields often apply machine learning techniques. The objective of machine learning is to recognize and extract automatically the regularities, patterns, hidden correlations in large data sets. The Group has been making efforts in the theory and methodology of machine learning.
