HISTORY

Here you can find the history of the program as it improved from initial release to the current version, version 2.0

01.26.2001: Release of version 2.0. The change in the major version number indicates that there were serious modifications. The most important is that now the algorithm works for any stretching factor and not only integers.
However, if you use a non-integer expansion rate and you have only the evaluation version than you can process only 8 seconds of input! The price for the full version is $20 or something of equivalent value (e.g. an audio CD). Contact me via E-Mail for details.

Other changes in 2.0: The user interface was re-designed slightly, so that the parameters are input in three steps. The old design looked a bit better, but now it is more idiot-proof..

You can now specify the expansion rate also by giving the expected new length of the output. Some users reported that this would be very useful for them.

The program now can handle stereo files.

You can now “drag-and-drop” files in the dialogue window.

02.01. 1998: A very nasty bug was repaired: now you can see the full dialog box if you change Windows’ Font Size to Large Fonts ...

07.01.1997: Version 1.2 - now it can handle WAV’s recorded with the Win’95 built-in sound recorder

06.02.1997: Version 1.1 - The FFT algorithm and so the whole program speeded up by about a factor of 2.5

03.14.1997: Version 1.0 Released
