The lecture room is located in the Freihaus at the Wiedner Hauptstraße 8-10, 7th floor in the green area. It is easily reachable by the subway station "Karlsplatz" (U1/U2/U4) exit Wiedner Hauptstraße. The registration and school takes place in the lecture room. The computer lab is located in the Technische Universität Wien, Favoritenstraße 9-11, A-1040 Wien, which is near the subway station "Taubstummengasse". If arriving by subway please leave the Underground station at exit "Taubstummengasse". When you enter Favoritenstraße 9-11, take the elevators or stairs to the 4th floor and go to the yellow section of the building.

Accommodation

The student dorm is located in the 8th district of Vienna. The address is

1080 Wien, Pfeilgasse 3a (for single rooms)

1080 Wien, Pfeilgasse 4-6 (for double rooms)

It is a student dorm and known as the "Pfeilheim". About 800m away from the Ringstraße, it can be reached with the Tram Nr. 46 and "J" and the Bus Nr. 13A.

From the Technical University maybe the best way to get to the dorm is to enter the U2 at Karlsplatz and got to "Volkstheater" or "Rathaus". Then have a 10 min walk or take Tram Nr. 46 from Volkstheater.

At Karlsplatz, you can take tram Nr. "J", directly to the dorm (Stop Lederergasse/Josefstättergasse). It will take you a bit longer, but the view is very nice. A detailed map can be found in this pdf.

Vienna

By Air:

Vienna International Airport (VIE) is located in Schwechat, about 20 km south-east of Vienna's center, see the webpage. At the airport, you can the bus to Südbahnhof/Westbahnhof for Euro 6. It will take you about 25min. Or take one of two railway lines: - Cheap, but slow - railway line S7 (direction Floridsdorf) to the station Wien Mitte, or - expensive and 8 minutes faster - the City Airport Train also takes you to the station Wien Mitte.
At Wien Mitte, take Underground U4, direction Hütteldorf, 2 stops to Karlsplatz, where you have to change to Undergroud U1, direction Reumannplatz, 1 stop to Taubstummengasse.
Alternatively, at the airport you may also take the shuttle bus (Vienna Airport Lines) to Schwedenplatz.

By Train:

Vienna has two main train stations, Westbahnhof and Südbahnhof.
At Westbahnhof: Enter the Underground station Westbahnhof and take Underground U3, direction Erdberg, 5 stops to Stephansplatz, where you have to change to Underground U1, direction Reumannplatz, 2 stops to Taubstummengasse.
At Südbahnhof: Take tram 18 (direction "Burggasse") or O (direction "Raxstraße") from the main building of Südbahnhof to Südtiroler Platz (next stop). When coming with a train from the south, you can also leave the platform at its rear end and walk to the nearby Underground station Südtiroler Platz (near the bus stops). By Car:

If you come by car, the easiest and cheapest way is to park your car somewhere near one of the underground or railway stations at the periphery (make sure you remember where), and use public transport further on. If you want to park at the school venue, please note that parking in the streets in central Vienna during daytime is restricted to residents with a special permit or short periods (you will need a ticket called a "Kurzparkschein" for this).
