Anna Zawada-Tomkiewicz: Application of wavelet decomposition in image enhancement and discrimination |
In the lecture I will present an introduction to wavelet analysis. First,
the main idea and mathematical background of wavelets will be presented
together with their properties. Next, the Continuous and Discrete Wavelet
Transforms will be shown and their application in image processing will be
outlined. Finally, I will focus on the image noise reduction and
enhancement with simultaneous preservation of image quality.
