Dmitry Chetverikov: Scale-space and its applications |
In this lecture, we present the basic notions and
algorithms of the scale-space theory. In particular,
the close relation between the process of
diffusion and the scale-space is discussed, then
scale selection for edge and blob detection is
described and illustrated by examples on real-world images.
Finally, the application of the scale-space theory to the
detection of affine-invariant feature points is presented.
