Szeged is rather a nice town than a big city, and the conference venue is close to the downtown, so basically everything is in a walking distance, therefore, choosing any hotel or guest house in the City seems to be reasonable.

The organisers of DGCI 2006 have contacted a few hotels in Szeged and agreed on special discount rates for DGCI participants. Please mention that you are a DGCI 2006 participants when booking your rooms (and of course when settling the bill). Our recommended hotels are the followings.

• Dóm Hotel
  Their rates:
  • Single room: 15,500 HUF/room/night
  • Double room: 16,700 HUF/room/night

  All room rates include buffet breakfast, sauna, and the V.A.T, but do not include tourist tax (300 HUF/person/night). Also there is a parking possibility in the hotel for 1000 HUF/night. You can make a hotel booking on the site of Dóm Hotel. Please refer to DGCI in the item "Remarks, further information" of the booking form. All amounts are given in HUF, hence, cash payment in EURO at the hotel is not recommended, due to their special exchange rate.

• Novotel Hotel
  Their rates:
  • Single room: 62 EURO/room/night
  • Double room: 72 EURO/room/night

  All room rates include buffet breakfast and the V.A.T, but do not include tourist tax (300 HUF/person/night). You can make a hotel booking by sending an e-mail to h2996@accor.com (instead of booking on the site of Accor Hotels). Do not forget to refer to DGCI.

• Hotel Korona
  Their rates:
  • Single room: 10,000 HUF/room/night
  • Double room: 13,000 HUF/room/night

  All room rates include buffet breakfast and the V.A.T, and locked parking place, but do not include tourist tax (300 HUF/person/night). You can make a hotel booking on the site of Hotel Korona. Please refer to DGCI in the item "Note" of the booking form. All amounts are given in HUF, hence, cash payment in EURO at the hotel is not recommended, due to their special exchange rate.
