Usage intensity comparison of Mono and Multi repository structures is one of the highly debated topics in the development field. So far this comparison has been done on either a small or local scale. In this paper we showed the usage intensity of Mono and Multi repository structures from different aspects using thousands of projects from all over the world.

First we gave a basic definition for each structure type and after that shared our algorithm for collecting and identifying Mono and Multi Repository projects and saving them in our database. Establishing a database was crucial and using it we did different comparisons like usage intensity of both structure types over years. Additionally we compared developer’s preference over structure type based on their region. So it gave us a good view about which structure type is more popular among developers in different regions of the world. Beside all these comparisons have been done according to the team size and development period in each repository structure
